Hugs and Kisses | I heart faces challenge

The theme this week for I heart faces is hugs and kisses. I captured this photo of this adorable brother and sister during their session without being asked to. They're just all so lovey with one another!!

Personal | Child Photographer Marysville, CA

These are pictures I took of my son last December. Some of them I edited already, some I just finished tonight. I'm gearing up to take his 4th birthday photos soon. How time flies by so quickly. This is him playing baseball in the woods. I can never ask my son to smile. If you ever wonder how I get him to smile for some, I seriously place a toy on top of my lens and that lasts about a couple minutes and I go for the gusto. This was pure heaven to him. He loves nature so much, he forgot to tell me to put my camera away. Where has my baby gone? By the way, isn't that sunlight just so yummy!

Noah | Plumas Lake, CA Newborn Photographer

Noah was such a rockstar newborn! He slept for me for 80% of his session. He only woke up when were winding down for the day. He is just such a cutie patootie.

Boudoir Marathon 2012 | Boudoir Photographer Sacramento, CA

Kaci Deiser Photography and I partnered up late last month to do a Valentine's day boudoir marathon at a boutique hotel in Sacramento. It was a first for both of us since we're both family photographers. I had SO MUCH fun. The girls I got to photograph were all so very gorgeous and they all rocked their shoots. I was so lucky to have them as my clients. They are all so beautiful. Including in their sessions was an 8x8 leather album that they were all able to give to their sweethearts. It was such a great experience for me!

Well, there is one thing I will subtract from the experience next time. During our first night at the hotel, the building adjacent to our hotel was on fire at 11:00PM. As we were winding down for the night and heading to bed, a warning was blasted through the speakers that we are being evacuated. From the 10th floor, with all our camera gear strapped to our bodies, we bolted down the flight of stairs and once we reached outside, we saw smoke and was enveloped by lights emitting from 10 firetrucks. We were let back in, but not until 2:00AM.

I'm looking forward to doing another event like this but minus the adjacent building fire. HA!

If you're ever interested in having a boudoir session done, please just let me know. They're one of my favorite types of shoots to do now! I had such a blast!!!

Playing in the rain | Marysville, CA Photographer

Rain finally came to California. For a moment there, I really thought we skipped winter all together and just went straight to spring. One of my plans this year was to actually let my son skip, hop, jump and play in the rain. I've been a sort of party pooper the past few years about letting him out when it rains. I don't even  know why, my mother let me get soaked with rain water as a child. He was a bit confused that I was actually letting him jump in the puddles, but he had a blast!

Max turns 1 | Yuba City, Photographer

I met Max back in October with his mommy. I did their Christmas pictures in October and then they came back for Max's 1 year birthday pictures this month. This was such a fun session and Max has been one of the best babies I've ever worked with!
